Joanne McClelland - Soprano

When did you join BCGC? September 2013
What's your favourite BCGC song? Thou oh Lord will always be a favourite but I couldn't stop smiling the first time I knew we had People get ready in the bag, I was so excited to perform it. It's not Christmas without BCGC Oh Holy Night. I love scanning the faces in the audience and realising it means as much to them as it does to me.
What's your favourite BCGC moment (so far!)? That would be a very special service in New York when the pastor took the mic and gave us the best impromptu solo ever in Oh Happy Day!
What's been your favourite BCGC gig? We did a great small gig some time ago for French tourists; Belfast hospitality was plain to be seen with lovely Irish Stew and crusty bread for all. They were the right level of rowdy and fun to make the best of a BCGC night. Coming a very close second was Clonard monastery earlier this year. The vibe from the wonderful audience and the space we sang in made it a very special joyful night.
What song would you love BCGC to include in their set? Mary Mary - Shackles
Why should I come and see BCGC in action? You will know why when you are leaving.
